Vertically integrated weaving mill
Pieters Textiel is a vertically-integrated weaving mill: designing, warping, knitting, finishing and quality control all happen in-house. Our equipment is modern and up-to-date and meets the highest standards, while our experienced teams continually go for superior quality and an excellent customer service.
First, yarns on bobbins are wound next to each other to achieve the full weaving width. Next, the yarn is brought onto the beam, in preparation for being loaded onto the weaving loom.
Warping and beaming happens in-house at Pieters Textiel. In our own warping department, yarns from our own extrusion plant and qualitative external suppliers are prepared specifically for our own weaving looms.
By crossing the warp threads on the beam at right angles with the weft yarns, we create a woven fabric or cloth. Our looms use electronic jacquards, allowing rapid pattern and fabric style changes.
In our weaving department, our designs get their physical form. To guarantee a quick lead time, our weaving looms run 24/7. Steering everything into the right direction: our weavers. They pick up where the design team left off and turn our theoretical quality into reality. Professionally educated and further trained by our experienced team members, our weavers know our weaving looms like the back of their hand and use them to create that typical Pieters Textiel quality.
Grandmothers know best. Striving to bring you the same affectionate comfort you remember from the old days, our knitting department joins professional machinery and people with a heart for cosiness.
Our circular knitting machines create two layers that allow us to make full panel designs for your mattress. Our knitted fabrics have an optimal stretchiness and cover, made for easy processing in your facility.
In our internal finishing department, we apply a wide variety of treatments to our fabrics. Flame retardancy, a soft and firmer touch, stain repellency, anti-bedbug and anti-dust mite coatings, and laminations are part of our basic option range, but we’re open to discuss any special request with you.
Quality control takes place at every step of our production process. Even before we start producing, we check all incoming raw materials, dyed yarns and warp beams for consistency.
During production, computerised statistical techniques enable us to directly inspect fabrics on the loom. Finished fabrics are fully inspected before cutting, wrapping and palletising. In our in-house testing facility, our finished fabrics are then tested to confirm conformity to the required international standards.
